  The connection between computers and language is nothing new. We started seeing it in popular culture back the 60s with Star Treks communicators. The notion of a widespread immediate translator of any language into any other language can be an extremely fascinating problem to techno-linguists. Were still nowhere near to achieving that desire despite great advances that have now been created using computerized translation services online.
  
  There's no concern with losing the language classroom any time in the future. Significantly more than anytime in the last a century, students are running to ESL and EFL classes around the world. And more than ever, technology is becoming a core part of these sessions. We are now entering a period when both teachers and students are computer savvy and computers and related systems have been element of their everyday life from the beginning.
