In Baxter State Park you are bound to have a remote camping experience do to the ten sites and if you rise into them two of the sites are only reached. Those two sites may require additional work, but the solitude and elegance are really worth it. You must at lest take to one night at Chimney Pond or Russell Pond or any of the distant wilderness sites spread throughout the park if you do come to Baxter State Park.
