This website is a great resource because it provides 12 great academic search engines that teachers and students can use in the classroom. Search engines make it easier and safer for students because they narrow the search down, using only selected sites pertaining to the specific content area.

This video is extremely helpful because it walks a person through using a search engine. The article on this same site also relates useful information. One part of the article reads: "This little crash course will teach you how to explore the Net more efficiently."

This is a wonderful site that has tons of resources for teachers. I personally liked the google information and the youtube alternatives. Those can be found on the tabs at the top of the website.

I chose this site as a resource for chapter 8 because it is a great tool to use to incorporate technology in the classroom. I also really like it because you can use it on multiple devices (laptop, tablet, phone) and it's free.

Website that helps your own home page by putting all of the web resources you use into one site

Sybaloo is a great place to create and organize bookmarks for pages that you may visit everyday. They are organized into graphic tiles that are easy to see and read. Symbaloo will make a great homepage on your internet browser with all of your favorite pages right in front of you and the Google search tool in the middle with easy access.

This is a fairly simpler resource for evaluating information you uncover. The following is an example of this: the website includes the "5 W's" one should consider when validating a resource. These W's are who? What? When? Where? and why? Since this approach to questioning a source is obviously easier to understand and explain, it could be used for lower level classes to educate the kids on what to do BEFORE they use information or a source.
