Bloomin' iPad by Kathy Schrock - 0 views

"Below you will find links to iPad applications that target the various levels of Bloom's Revised Taxonomy. I only included free apps that were "content-neutral" to make them usable across the curriculum. I also tried to include apps for the iPad only, but a few iPhone apps may have snuck in! Each app image is clickable, and you will be taken to the iTunes Store to learn more about each one."

"Digital storytelling is simply using computer-based tools to tell stories. There are many different ways to do this - from making movies, recording voices, creating animations or electronic books. "We provide a simple tool for creating and managing your todo list - all with a bit of fun and flair. Most people keep their todo lists on pieces of paper (which has its upsides!) But many other people have found it useful to have their todo list on their computer as well. They spend much of the day working on their computer, so it is always there - paper can easily get misplaced - or sometimes you forget to bring your list with you when you leave. Making your todo list here has some distinct advantages, such as... you can access it from anywhere you have access to the net. you can share the list with anybody you like just by sending them a link. you and your friend can both add items and cross them off you can save paper (it's a bit "eco"! ;-) less trash to mess your desk or washing machine! (you know you've done this!) you can make as many as you like! No registration needed!"

Preparing and Supporting Teachers for 21st century learning through UDL - 0 views

  •
Integration of 21st century goals into teacher education programs requires attention to diversity, technology, and instructional supports in terms of how content material is presented, students are engaged, and learning is documented. Faced with barriers such as disparities in access to curriculum and technology, as well as differences in background experiences and prior knowledge, teachers in today's classrooms face unique challenges as they struggle to meet the diversity of needs within a single classroom setting. As a result, educators need innovative approaches to address the diversity of available resources, student characteristics, and other environmental challenges. One approach is the integration of Universal Design for Learning principles with instructional planning. By using a wide lens approach to initial instructional planning and then narrowing the focus through the integration of Universal Design for Learning principles to meet individual needs within lessons from facilitation through assessment, teachers are able to address individual needs while also facilitating planning for the entire class.

"Board Maker Files On this website you will find books that have been adapted using the Picture Communication Symbols (PCS) and the Mayer-Johnson program BoardMaker (c). The Picture Communication Symbols (PCS) are typically used by individuals who have difficulty being understood verbally or have severe difficulty with reading and writing. If you have your own copy of the book, we have files that allow you to print the symbols that we used to adapt the books. These PCS can be cut out and glued into your own book so that you can read the adapted book again and again to your child or students."
