    The Miami Initiative for Advancing, Mentoring and Investing in Women (M.I.A.M.I. WOMEN) awarded nearly $104,000 in Giving Circle grants to students and faculty during the annual Leadership Symposium on April 12, 2018. Finalists pitched their projects the previous evening at the inaugural Hawk Tank event. This grant fund is open again for the 2018-2019 cycle.

NewSchools Venture Fund - 0 views

    The mission of NewSchools Venture Fund is to reimagine public education through powerful ideas and passionate entrepreneurs so that all children-especially those in underserved communities-have the opportunity to succeed. The Fund's Diverse Leaders program invests in entrepreneurs with bold ideas to grow, advance, and support Black and Latino leadership in education. Ideas may include efforts to recruit new diverse leaders, accelerate the careers of diverse leaders, create networks of diverse leaders, etc. Nonprofit organizations and social entrepreneurs are eligible to apply for one-year grants ranging from $100,000 to $200,000. The application deadline is September 7, 2018. The Fund's Innovative Schools program invests in teams of educators planning to launch new nonprofit public schools that prepare young people to finish high school prepared and inspired to create and live the lives they want. Planning grants of $200,000 will be provided; at the end of the planning phase, teams may apply for an investment that would support their first two to three years of operation. BLM-(WO), Hands on the Lands Outdoor Classroom Program - 0 views

    BLM has an opportunity to work with a partner organization to assist BLM with partnership with local schools and communities bordering public lands, the BLMâ¿¿s 93 Hands on the Land sites offer the premier formal education programs within the agency, allowing nearly 100,000 students to access and experience BLM public lands in Fiscal Year 2017 alone. The BLMâ¿¿s Washington Office, Division of Education, Interpretation, and Partnerships has funding to collaborate with a partner to provide leadership and support to the BLMâ¿¿s 93 Hands on the Land (HOL) sites and connect them with the existing interagency HOL National Network of outdoor classrooms. Integrating the BLMâ¿¿s HOL sites into the interagency HOL National Network will provide agency sites with the multi-level support they need to foster and expand relationships with local communities and schools, improve coordination with other Federal agencies, expand access to public lands for students and their families, and introduce students and teachers to the concepts of multiple-use management and balanced conservation stewardship of public lands.

    The NIH Research Education Program (R25) supports research education activities in the mission areas of the NIH. The over-arching goal of this Fogarty International Center R25 program is to support educational activities that complement and/or enhance the training of a workforce to meet the nations biomedical, behavioral and clinical research needs by supporting the establishment of an African Association for Health Professions Education and Research (the "Association").
