Health Promotion Among Racial and Ethnic Minority Males (R01 Clinical Trial Optional) - 0 views

    This initiative seeks applications that propose to stimulate and expand research in the health of minority men. Specifically, this initiative is intended to: 1) enhance our understanding of the numerous factors (e.g., sociodemographic, community, societal, personal) influencing the health promoting behaviors of racial and ethnic minority males across the life cycle, and 2) encourage applications focusing on the development and testing of culturally and linguistically appropriate health-promoting interventions designed to reduce health disparities among racially and ethnically diverse males age 18 and older.

Grant Program for Projects on Multicultural Activities - 0 views

    Proposals must have a multicultural focus. Multicultural is defined to include issues dealing with race, ethnicity, language, gender or gender identity, age, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and ability. There is particular interest in, but not limited to, proposals that respond to ASHA's Envisioned Future: 2025 and ASHA's Strategic Pathway to Excellence; advance Interprofessional Education/Interprofessional Practice (IPE/IPP); and/or result in a tangible product, program, resource, etc.. Projects must: be compatible with ASHA's mission and vision. have a clear, high-quality plan for meeting its objectives. be completed, including evaluation, within 15 months of initiation of the project; and describe the future of the project after ASHA funding has ended.

    In recent years, inequality in the United States has become increasingly pervasive. At the same time, prospects for social mobility have decreased. The William T. Grant Foundation believes the research community can play a critical role in reversing this trend. To that end, the foundation is accepting applications in support of research projects designed to advance understanding in the area of inequalities in youth development and/or increase understanding of how research is acquired, understood, and used, as well as the circumstances that shape its use in decision making. Through its Research program, the foundation will award grants of up to $600,000 in support of research that focuses on ways to reduce disparities in academic, behavioral, social, and economic outcomes for youth. Priority will be given to projects related to inequality related to economic, racial/ethnic, and language background, but research that explores other areas will also be considered based on a compelling case for its impact. To be eligible, organizations must be considered tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

English Language Program Adminstration - 0 views

    he U.S. Embassy Macedonia Public Affairs Section is pleased to announce that funding is available for academic year English language teaching programs that offer primary and/or secondary school students in Macedonia innovative and experiential learning opportunities to improve their English and learn about the United States. Programs should meet at least once a week throughout the academic school year, beginning in September 2017. The main objectives of this program are to: * Provide opportunities for disadvantaged students to improve their English speaking ability. * Teach about American culture and values through English language learning. * Connect students in the United States and Macedonia, so that they can learn more about each other and build relationships. * Promote inter-ethnic understanding among students in Macedonia. Successful applicants should build off of current and previous English language programs run by U.S. Embassy Macedonia, including the Dreams and Friendship and Graphic Novel Programs
