Founded in 1966 in Portland, Oregon, the National Psoriasis Foundation works to advance research efforts aimed at curing psoriatic disease and improving the lives of the more than eight million Americans living with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. In support if that mission, the foundation is accepting proposals for its 2019 Bridge Grants, which support researchers who have submitted an exemplary but unfunded K-type (career development) or R-type application to the National Institutes of Health or similar funding body, with a focus on psoriatic disease or related co-morbidities. Funding will provide a critical year of additional support to near-miss applicants so that they have the opportunity to continue to collect data that will strengthen a future application.
