The recipient of the Eight Annual lectureship will present a major, 50-minute lecture during the AACR Annual Meeting 2014 in San Diego, CA, USA (April 5-9, 2014).     Award: A $2,000.00 award, a plaque, and travel reimbursement to attend the Opening Ceremonies at ONS Congress. The paper will be published in the Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing. Purpose: This award was established to focus attention of the membership on quality-of-life issues in cancer care; describe the contributions of clinicians, educators, administrators, and researchers in oncology nursing to quality of life in cancer care; apply information related to quality of life to oncology nursing practice; and incorporate the philosophy of quality of life into all aspects of cancer care.     The Lila and Murray Gruber Memorial Cancer Research Award is one of the largest and most prestigious medical awards. The cash award of $10,000 will be made in recognition of the investigator's lifetime achievements in the field of cancer research.
