PAR-19-274: Dissemination and Implementation Research in Health (R01 Clinical Trial Optional) - 0 views

  •
The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to support innovative approaches to identifying, understanding, and developing strategies for overcoming barriers to the adoption, adaptation, integration, scale-up and sustainability of evidence-based interventions, tools, policies, and guidelines. Conversely, there is a benefit in understanding circumstances that create a need to stop or reduce ("de-implement") the use of interventions that are ineffective, unproven, low-value, or harmful. In addition, studies to advance dissemination and implementation research methods and measures are encouraged. Also listed under R21

PAR-19-279: Provocative Questions (PQs) in Multiple Myeloma Disparities Research (R01 Clinical Trial Optional) - 0 views

  •
Through this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA), the National Cancer Institute (NCI) invites R01 applications for research projects designed to solve specific problems and paradoxes in multiple myeloma (MM) and disparities research identified as the NCI Multiple Myeloma Disparities Provocative Questions (MMD PQs). These problems and paradoxes phrased as questions are not intended to represent the full range of NCI's priorities in multiple myeloma research. Rather, they are meant to challenge cancer researchers to think about and elucidate specific problems in key areas of multiple myeloma and disparities research that are deemed important but have not received sufficient attention. The FOA includes six Multiple Myeloma PQs that represent diverse fields relevant to multiple myeloma disparities research, but all are framed to inspire interested scientists to conceive new approaches and/or feasible solutions. Each research project (application) proposed in response to this FOA must be focused on addressing one particular research problem defined by one specific MMD PQ selected from the list. Projects proposed to address specific MMD PQs may use strategies that incorporate ideas and approaches from multiple disciplines, as appropriate. Transdisciplinary projects are encouraged as long as they serve the scientific focus of the specific PQ chosen.

Conquer Cancer Foundation Invites Applications for Oncology Young Investigator Award | RFPs | PND - 0 views

  •
To that end, CCF is accepting applications for its Global Oncology Young Investigator Award. Through the program, a single grant of up to $50,000 will be awarded to an early-career investigator in support of global oncology research. "Global oncology" as defined by the foundation implies an approach to the practice of oncology that acknowledges the reality of limited resources in most parts of the world. Projects therefore need to be a research exercise - identifying training models, researching their outcomes, analyzing the outcomes of those models to select the most effective curriculum, and/or researching the cost of creating sustainable models where they do not exist.

Conquer Cancer Foundation Invites Applications for Oncology Young Investigator Award | RFPs | PND - 0 views

  •
The Conquer Cancer Foundation was founded by cancer doctors at the American Society of Clinical Oncology to support dramatic advances in the prevention, treatment, and cures of all types of cancer. To that end, CCF is accepting applications for its Global Oncology Young Investigator Award. Through the program, a single grant of up to $50,000 will be awarded to an early-career investigator in support of global oncology research. Public Health and Health Systems Partnerships to Increase Colorectal Cancer Screening in Clinical Settings - 0 views

  •
This announcement provides funds to recipients to partner with health systems and individual primary care clinics to implement evidence-based interventions (EBIs) to increase colorectal cancer (CRC) screening uptake among applicant defined populations age 50-75 years that have CRC screening rates lower than the national, regional, or local rate. Recipients will: 1) establish partnerships with health systems and primary care clinics to implement at least two of four EBIs recommended in The Community Guide (client reminders; provider reminders, reduction of structural barriers, and provider assessment and feedback); 2) establish partnerships with organizations that provide expertise to support the implementation of EBIs in primary care clinics; 3) conduct a formal assessment of each clinics capacity/readiness to implement EBIs; 4) utilize the clinic assessment to select appropriate EBIs to implement; 5) provide resources to partner clinics to provide and support completion of follow-up colonoscopies after a positive or abnormal screening test; and 6) collect and submit high-quality clinic-level data including baseline and annual CRC screening rates.

Request for Proposals - Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation - 0 views

  •
In November 2018, the Moore Foundation announced its Diagnostic Excellence Initiative with a focus on diagnostic performance improvement. The initiative aims to reduce harm from erroneous or delayed diagnoses, reduce costs and redundancy in the diagnostic process, improve health outcomes and save lives. The initiative's first area of focus is to develop and validate new measures for diagnostic performance. Examples of our first cohort of grants for diagnostic clinical quality measures are now available for review. Starting with measure development is important - currently, U.S. health care systems are unable to systemically measure diagnostic performance in real time, which limits the ability to quantify performance and guide improvements.

Metastasis Research Network (U54 Clinical Trial Not Allowed) - 0 views

  •
The purpose of the FOA is to support the development of collaborative, multi-disciplinary basic research centers to elucidate and integrate a mechanistic understanding of the non-linear, dynamic, and emergent processes in metastasis. It is anticipated that each center will use systems-level approaches that encompass chronological progression and biological scales to derive a more comprehensive and cohesive picture of metastasis. Centers may derive new physiologically relevant models that capture the entire metastatic process or develop new experimental and analytical technologies or probes for tracking and monitoring the in vivo dynamics of metastatic cell states.
