American Museum of Natural History--great interactive website with lots of science and social studies information and games.. Kids can post questions. Appropriate for CA 7-12.
Thinkfinity (which is supported by Verizon only) provides educational resources, lesson plans and more. There are professional development opportunities within the website (e.g., workng with refugee families), though there is no information on the background of the presenters nor whether these reflect professional literature. Nevertheless, looks interestng.

Grockit is an online social learning community--good for test preparation for SAT, ACT, GRE etc. Of course, they are trying to get you to purchase theiri online test preparation program. Might be helpful to persons working with secondary learners.
