K-12 tech tools with lots of helpful information (e.g., media release form). Many many tools categorized by content areas with search engine within. Looks like a very helpful tool for teachers and families. Recommended to me by a grad student.
Great cautionary article on colleges 'googling' students. Should be read by every middle and high school student (and their teachers and parents as well)!
Collaborize classroom looks very interesting and it's free. Encourages student engagement, shares lesson plans and more. Pretty strong endorsements of website as well. Worth checking out.
iPad/iPhone--App for recording student behavior. Free verson allows you to follow 5 students on 3 behaviors.
Pro-version is customizable and probably worth the money--good reviews on Teacher's Assistant Pro.
I might try the free version first and then upgrade.
Kikutext allows text messaging to students and/or parents. Free, though, of course, there maybe costs associated with service you are using. Might be helpful.
