I feel that this is not a realible source. I think this because of all the adds on the page as you read this. I also feel that this is not a realible source because there is no author that I can search and background check. This makes me uneasy. I did agree with what this artcile is saying though. I like how the unknown author brings up different thoughts from different people! the only other thing I have to say is that the word usage is very mature.

I think this would be a better source who is more sciencey. For someone more our age i think this would not be a reliable source. The .org is good. The webpage article was rated 3.8/5 so I think that makes is more reliable. Also another thing that is good about it is it was provided by university. These are my views on this web page.

Negative Effects of Internet Usage - Yahoo Voices - voices.yahoo.com - 1 views

  • information and freedom. People go online to get information (music, news, stock prices, etc). Logging onto the Internet is like a kid going to a toy store; there is so much to do and explore that once you get in, you never want to leave.
  • This could have a negative effect since people will act in certain ways and say certain things that they otherwise wouldn't do in real life.
  • Thus, the experiences we encounter on the Internet are not the same as the ones we encounter in real life.

  • Even though our overt use of the Internet can cause a conflict between your virtual self and your social self, many still excessively rely on the Internet for their activities.
  • y 2000 it was estimated that the number of adults using the Internet exceeded 100 million in the United States alone"
  • We know that the Internet has an unlimited amount of information and services; consequently, we excessively rely on it too much while ignoring social interactions in the process. That is not to say that the Internet is bad, it's just being misused.
  • When we open our web browser, you get to your home page; from there, you can go to an unlimited number of destinations.
  • People can literally spend their whole life on the Internet.
  • They can attend an online school and get an online job.
  • They can pay their bills and invest their money.
  • Ever need information on something?
  • Instead of wasting your time checking the dictionary, encyclopedia or yellow pages, you can just type it up on a search engine like Google and you will get the information instantaneously.
  • For many, however, the Internet is the world. The Internet is so expansive and accessible, we often find ourselves spending countless hours wondering from one website to the next.
  • That is what happens when we use the Internet. As a result, the Internet cuts out the social interactions of our lives.
  • We often ask questions like why go shopping when the Internet can deliver the products to your door or why go the library to research when you can do the same online.
  • We are easily distracted and side-tracked when online. In typing this essay, I spent more time chatting and surfing than working on my essay.
  • The Internet has become counter-productive not because of what it offers but because of what it causes

I feel that this artcile is okay. I can see the author who wrote it and I could search them, and I see that they are okay. I think that the authors of this website brought up many great points such as "The internet gives people two things, independent and freedom" I love the way it was written. The inly think that makes me think that this artcile is that It is on yahoo, not the best site for relablite. I also noticed that the artcile ended in .com, so it is not the best artcile because it is open to all, and it looks like anyone can edit it! I think this is not a relablie website, but i do agree with the message. As I said before, the artcile is very well written. I think that if this type of writing was on a different website that ended in .org, i would trust more. This is why i think this artcile is urealibe

I belive that this is an unreliable source because it is a site anyone could post on. Anyone could post on yahoo voice because you can join it. They seem to be knolageable. But this information is from 2006 and could be old and outdated. There is also some fluff, for instance when they mention the island on the lord of the flies. The artical also ends in .com.

I feel that this is a relalbe source. I think this because of the end of the web address, which is .edu. This shows that this is an educational website site and it is used for the help of educationing other. I think it is a realible soruce for another reason too. I have proof that the website is from a university conclusling website, and when I further searched on universities webiste, i learned that they give advice about other issues about more interent problems and how to solve them. The other thing I found a little fishy is they did list an author or authors, so it was hard to search if the people that wrote it were really trying to help this problem. I do agree with this artcile, and I would recommend it to people who are having problems with using the internet too much. It does show what is negative about the internet, and I think that the website has many great points!

I feel this article is reliable. I think this because it is by a county district attorney of a community in California. This clues us into a safe, nice website that is open to the public to inform everyone. The other reason why I think that this website is reliable is because its web address ends in .org, and this shows that it is an organization. This is better than .com, and is much more informational than a .com website too. I do agree with this article, because it promotes the fact that you should be careful online, and that is a negative thing about the internet. The only thing that this article is a little bit more about being more safe on the internet instead of describing some more negative aspects of the internet.

this is deffinitly a reliable scource because there are not a lot of ads on the side of the page and there is no title that says it was posted annomusly by somebody. (spelling errors because im in a hurry)

I think this is reliable source. I think that because first of all the website is about the internet. Also i trust and like this source because i like the way that they had a paragraph describing in detail what the different kinds of dangers there where on the internet. I think this is a good choice of website because the author seems very knowledgeable about the topic," negatives about the internet".

My Second Artcile - 1 views

I feel like i would question this website. I would question it because i notice the tweet and google+ buttons. I also noticed how that person could have been a free joiner. It was kind of weird how it was labeled with the conclusion and the labels. I did like how they introduced the idea of a cyber-crime and disorders. I think that they knew what they where talking about when they where talking about the addiction of the internet. I also felt like they could have just googled this and copied and pasted. But it does show the main facts that all of the other websites i have seen had and the facts seemed good and reliable.

I dont think that your article is trust worthy becasue it could be posted by some random person who just wanted to share their opinion about the internet because this was posted on their google+ account
