The 50x15 project is about a plan to bring technology to the people who need it by supplying internet usage to half the world poplation over the next fifteen years. Not just to the countries leading in advance technology, but to people living in the next emerging markets. Currently AMD has been implementing technology as a tool for global change. AMD partners with others to make technology available to all and particularly to help make the 50x15 project happen. One project that includes the Connecting the World design contest involves students at Universities in Latin America who are encouraged to propose and create systems that provide technological solutions for high-growth markets.
