Students make "birds" by using straws and paper strips. By the flip of a coin, the "bird" mutates and is tested to see if the mutation is beneficial or not.
Students are given different "adaptations" (spoon, knife, tape, fork, etc) and have 3 minutes to "hunt" for different bean species. Might need to be modified a bit...
