    Wetoku is a web service or web 2.0 tool out of Korea that does one thing very well…it provides a simple platform for interviewing someone via the Internet. Collaborating globally is a must for our students and as result interviewing can be a challenge. Wetoku makes doing an interview as easy as filling out some basic information, creating an interview session and then sending the creative interview session's URL to the interviewee. Very Cool!

    Amazing, set questions and your students can respond in their own time either from the lab or from home. They can watch each others responses and even comment on them. Could be useful for developing confidence in speaking/new language/sharing ideas.

    One of my favorite video websites is TED. I know many of you are already acquainted with the name but to those who still do not have an idea what TED is all about I would say that you are missing out on an inestimable resource of great videos. TED has been internationally recognized and from different academic and professional bodies as one of the best educational websites. It features interviews with the smartest thinkers of our age. It touches upon every category from entertainment to education. I personally find it the right place to get the necessary inspiration and encouragement to improve and boost my self and professional development.

    In the spring of 2010, I decided to introduce Evernote as a research tool to a group of 10th grade Literature/Composition students at my school. I chose Evernote because these students (part of a learning and technology integration program), were preparing to start a research project using multiple sources of information, including database articles, web-based news stories, videos, photos, and interviews. For their research, students were not only using a wide range of information sources, but they were also creating multigenre learning artifacts, such as VoiceThreads, artwork, videos, poetry, and other representations of their key learnings.

    Let me know what you think! This year, we would like to find even more primary sources in every country that our learners choose to investigate. Rather than a formal class structure, it would be great to see them in small groups talking via Skype to as many people as possible. We'd love to have them engaging with students in other countries and continuing to connect with them after the initial interviews. It would be great to see them work collaboratively on Google Maps to which they add photos, information, questions and new learning. Hopefully they will use their class blogs to reflect on what they learn and to record their wonderings, so that people 'out there' can respond.
