"What is a Memory Game?
In this interactive memory game the player must find the matching pairs of cards. To do this click on a card in the top row and then click on a card in the bottom row. If the cards match the cards remain face up. If not, the cards will turn back over and you can try again until all pairs have been found.
Using the Memory Game Maker, you can build your own interactive memory game. You can specify if you want text, pictures or sounds on each row of cards. You can then type in your own text, attach your own pictures or record your own voice. These will appear on the cards in your finished game. You can also customise some other features of the game such as the look of your game and the sound effects used.
When complete, the game is saved on your computer in the location you specify. From here you can copy the game to a disc, memory stick or onto another computer or network to share with others.
You can make games in any language. Any script (for example Arabic or Japanese) that can be typed on your computer can be used."

"Isn't it great when students write and read because they love to? Or, when a child or young adult values his or her library card as much as the latest electronic game? At Pine Tree Poetry, we believe fine writing nourishes everyone's soul. It exercises brains with creative thinking and adds a palette of words and colors to life.
We've created Pine Tree Poetry to interlace students, their peers, parents, teachers and school librarians in a quest for poetry writing excellence. Rarely do students earn kudos or trophies for their writing, but at Pine Tree Poetry, we are dedicated to rewarding the fine writing achievements of students who are 5 - 18."

Objective:
Students learn to use personification as they personify an object for a clay animation. Students use conflict, experiences, and situations to help the viewer imagine what it might be like to be a particular object."
You can use personification to make your writing more interesting. Personification is a figure of speech in which human qualities are given to objects, animals, or ideas. For example: the fire breathed hot in our faces and its flames grabbed at our clothes, or the chocolate cake is calling my name.
You can find personification at work in lots of different types of writing. Lewis Carroll's uses lots of personification in The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland. Remember the white rabbit and Alice playing croquet with a deck of cards?
