This week we are currently looking at shapes - both 2D shapes and 3D objects. As part of a "let's apply this to our life" moment, we decided to break the kids into small groups of two or three. We then put a digital camera in their hand and told them that they were to traverse the school and take 10 photos of shapes that they saw in our environment. Kids loved it.
What does it mean to have half a heart? In this worksheet it means your child has correctly drawn a line of symmetry! To complete this exercise your child will need to look at each shape, and then draw a line that will split the shape symmetrically in half. Your child will gain experience drawing lines of symmetry with this worksheet, as well as recognizing shapes that are and are not symmetrical.
