Randolph Hollingsworth on 03 Mar 13Taught in the YRL Research Commons as a series of hands-on workshops with guest experts, the course will act a springboard for the Digital Humanities "capstone research" seminars in the spring quarter and be tied directly to the skill sets necessary for these research projects. In the spring quarter, Digital Humanities minors will work in small teams and be embedded in an ongoing faculty research project in order to develop an original research contribution through a capstone project (DH 199). The goals of this course are: 1. to develop a solid foundation for critically using a range of digital tools and technologies to further humanities research. 2. to develop preliminary research questions and project plans for capstone seminars.
