    At a time when the question of Puerto Rico's future status has been reopened for serious discussion, any support for statehood by a person of high up position could have sway. However, if said person of position decides to forego spell-check and common grammatical conventions in favor of a letter riddled with errors, his argument can only serve to undermine his goal. Senate Majority Leader Roberto Arango, in asking the U.S. House to make the island a state, sent just such a letter plagued with grammatical errors.
