According to Puerto Rico's Department of Environmental and Natural Resources, ferrets are illegal on the island. It wasn't just that someone was in the possession of one of these playful creatures but that they attempted to mail one, overnight delivery. After the package started vibrating, postal workers became worried and did not immediately send it on its way to Puerto Rico. Slightly trepidatious about opening a moving box, since last time that had happened an 8-foot python had slithered out of the package while in transit. Inside this box, however was a cage housing a ferret as well as some accessories for the animal. The person who had tried to send the ferret was not found.
