There is an "artificial oasis" in the tropical desert, and China's rice grows!

The Qingdao Sea Rice R&D Center team, led by Yuan Longping, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, recently conducted field tests on rice that was experimentally planted in the tropical desert of Dubai . The maximum per mu production exceeded 500 kilograms. This is the first time that the world has successfully experimented with rice cultivation in tropical deserts, adding "China's contribution" to improving the self-sufficiency of grain in desert areas, safeguarding global food security, and improving the ecological environment in desert regions.

Korean cola prices rose 9% year-on-year, while processed foods rose by nearly 70%. Data from the Consumer Affairs Institute of Korea's Comprehensive Information Website released on June 11 showed that processed foods such as Korean cola and instant rice were up 9% year-on-year in May.
