* This research study discusses the use of interactive boards to engage students with diverse learning styles and those identified with special needs. The study found special needs students and students who exhibited aural and kinesthetic learning styles were more actively engaged in lessons that incorporated the use of interactive boards. The boards allowed for the easy incorporation of color, sound, video, and graphics in lessons. They also offered greater opportunities to physically manipulate data. Students with visual disabilities benefitted from the use of large displays, crisp text, and illustrative diagrams.

The article focuses on use at upper levels. it and the accompanying documents offer guidelines and rationales for the use of students created video to foster creativity and understanding.
iKeepSafe.org site - loads of resources for internet safety at the elementary-high level. Includes printable resources, lessons, online activities, and support for the Faux Paws curriculum.
EtherPad is an open document site that allows users to collaborate on documents in real time. It is offered as a free and a paid service. Up to three registered users can access a document without paying. Anyone can access public pads. This sounds like a perfect site for kids, but I will need to see if it is accessible from a school computer.
Game Classroom sorts educational games and intereactives based on grade level and skill. This is an outstanding site for finding appropriate games to reinforce learning, not just random game play.
