A site that lets you create nice eportfolios using templates. Free for educators, but costs $10 per year for students. Still, the sample portfolios are very professional looking. Might be worth it, depending on the age and goals of your students.

A very cool free app! It's basically an interactive whiteboard and you can record as you draw/write. Designed to let you create video lessons. You can then either embed the lessons in your own web page or create a course where your students can view all your lessons. Students can also register and create their own lessons.

A (currently) free site hosted by Michigan State University that allows users to upload multimedia files, create portfolios, and share them with others. This could be useful for having students create a portfolio that includes presentations, audio files, and writing. Also includes sample lesson plans with project ideas.

Audio Dropboxes - 0 views

  •
This website allows you to create a free audio dropbox on any webpage where students can record and save audio files for their teacher to retrieve. Could be very useful for speaking homework assignments, rather than relying on a third party website such as voxopop.

This is a free program (for Windows only) that easily allows you to input text and find N-grams and phrase frames. This might be useful for teachers who want to be able to look for these features in the texts their class will be reading, for example. Although concordancing software such as Antconc can do the same thing, this program is nice for someone who doesn't need all the other functionality of a program like Antconc.
