ePortfolios for Learning I have created this blog to discuss my ideas on electronic portfolios to support lifelong learning. I hope to share some of my concerns about the current direction of electronic portfolios in Higher Education and K-12 schools.

A virtual presentation looking at Australia's experience of e-portfolios in the vocational education and training sector is taking place at the 9th International ePortfolio & Identity Conference. The session at the London-based conference is exploring building and sustaining e-portfolio communities of practice in the UK and Australia.

"As the year progressed, we related specific key competencies to our learning in the classroom. We examined each key competency, discussed in groups what it would look like, and brainstormed ideas that were added to the wall chart. Evidence of success with the key competency was recorded in the students' portfolios."

During the 2010 curriculum renewal, "Portfolio Learning" was one of the twenty committees that engaged in an environmental scan, literature review, and proposed four recommendations for the new curriculum."
