I often use Jing to capture images or provide instructions on how to navigate through a LMS, Jing allows you to use arrows to direct student to the correct location on the screen.

Edpuzzle is a Web-based application that allows instructors (and students) to upload videos or use pre-existing streaming videos from YouTube or Vimeo and overlay test/assessment items to create a more interactive lesson. Instructors can stop videos at anytime and present assessment items to check for understanding. Videos become lessons and engaging presentations. I like this site to share with my students because they learn about new ways to learn about the new happening in major fields. My course is a research course, and I want my students to explore more things in there field. What ever it is that they want to be, this will give them an opportunity to learn about the new trends.

This article describes the increased use in the eLearning industry to HTML5 as an authoring tool. Moving away from things like Adobe Flash has allowed new opportunities and avenues of creation possibilities to content developers. HTML5 has wide support across many different browsers and LMS platforms which makes the use of HTML5 an easy transition/addition. HTML5 does, however, have difficulty working with older browsers such as IE8. Using authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate 9 and Articulate Storyline makes HTML5 easy to use.

Greetings all! I choose this url because I had to many windows open to do anything else. I have this all together now, I think. My correct blog name is rmichellewalton.wordpress.com I am now seeing how important technology is to education. This has truly been a teachable moment for me. As I become more and more familiar with technology, I will begin to gradually incorporate it into my classes. This article, which is easily found on Google, is nice for someone like me who is new to Twitter and has not thought of ways to use in class. It also give nice links to the ideas provided to better explain how to use the suggestion.

A powerful reference database that can be used to keep track of sources and also integrated with word processors to generate bibliographies and such. This does a very good job of importing metadata from websites and online texts, and pulling additional information for sources from other databases. It would be nice if this were a bit more customizable, but it may get there in time. The folks developing this are very helpful and responsive to users.
