Great easy to use.

You can develop your own questions, use their test bank, or import your existing quizzes. You can select the order of the questions, indicate scores for passing, will show you their score at the completion of the quiz and reveal the correct answer to the questions. Very easy to follow. Almost no learning curve. I would definitely use this in an online class to assess students understanding of concepts covered. I would offer it either as a review or as a quiz itself.

Adobe offers a number of free courses that can help you learn tech tools. Some of the courses are self-paced and others are collaborative. Occasionally they have an extensive Train the Trainer course. When I took it in 2016, it was an 8 week course with an additional 20 days tacked on to the end to finish course requirements. I liked the focus on the importance of creativity in education and best practices in adult learning theory. It is the closet thing to a MOOC that I have taken. If you take it, pay close attention to how to track your posts...the platform makes it a little difficult to go back and look at the responses to your posts when you did not initiate the first post.

Performance assessment, also known as alternative or authentic assessment, is a form of testing that requires students to perform a task rather than select an answer from a ready-made list. For example, a student may be asked to explain historical events, generate scientific hypotheses, solve math problems, converse in a foreign language, or conduct research on an assigned topic. I find this article (based on a video that is also there) very interesting. The author goes through a list of online resources that people can use to find ways to learn languages online. It even offers a link to CALICO (Computer Assisted Language Learning Instruction Consortium) reviewed course.
