Here is a useful scheduling tool, I would imagine its best use to be to organize meeting times between teachers and students. Everyone can access the same schedule without the need to synchronize or coordinate multiple calendars.

download problems of the month For a high school math teacher, or anyone that likes to solve math problems, this was a fun place to find. I might give some of my honors level juniors a few of these as class openers or closers.

Educational Games Research " Is FarmVille Educational? - 1 views

  •
This blog has followed social gaming juggernaut Zynga's progress for a couple years now. One of its most popular gaming apps is FarmVille, which runs on Facebook and touts an estimated 70 million players, making it one of, if not the, most popular games ever. Testaments to the game's popularity abound. I opted to post this here as we are debating the use of Web 2.0 tools in education. Farmville dominated Facebook games for a number of years, and educators made use of this trend to enhance their teaching. Though it has not been developed for educational purposes, I know even teachers of business studies who used it in their classes with students 13+ of age. This example should encourage us to make use of what is trending and popular with our students to our advantage!

For anyone in education including teachers, students, parents, librarians, schools, and universities. Featuring Wikispaces Classroom and Wikispaces Campus. https://cooper-socialwork.wikispaces.com I like this as a means to have a place for the students in that semester's class so they can access this discussed. Contemplating letting students have access through the subsequent semester, as well.
