I thought it would be interesting (and maybe ironic) to post an article about diigo on diigo.

What is Diigo? Diigo stands for "Digest of Internet Information, Groups and Other stuff." It is a social bookmarking program that allows you to save your 'favourites' online, so that they can be accessible from any computer with an internet connection. However, Diigo does much more than this.

Diigo's latest upgrade has made it all the rage. My twitter is full of diigo related tweets and many, many of the blogs that I read contain posts and comments about this excellent web application.

Social Bookmarking is simply making bookmarks available to a social network. Rather than storing bookmarks on a local computer, the bookmarks are stored to a social bookmarking website. By default, the bookmarks are available for the network to view. Using a social bookmarking service instead of traditional bookmarking has a number of advantages: Bookmarks are available on any computer.
