The controversy of Hijab is the hottest topic in France nowadays. The controversy was also erupted some years back but died down soon. However, this time the government seems committed to impose ban on wearing Hijab for Muslim women especially in schools and offices. The government has also shown its concerns for wearing Veils in different public places for security concerns. The justification given by the French government in support of alleged ban is that it is against the secular values of France. To prove this justification the government also imposed ban on wearing crosses or skull caps for Christian and Jews. If we analyze the act of French government keeping ourselves neutral, it is fairly against the basic freedom rights of the people. Every person has a right to wear whatever he or she likes then how a government can dictate people what to wear and what to not. As far as the justification about secularism concerns, the aspect of basic rights of freedom is far superior to so called secular indications, if the people are not free to enjoy freedom then the secularism is of no use. Moreover, if we look at the scriptures of all the major religions we would reach to a conclusion that Hijab is not the identity of mere Muslim women but all the major religions direct women to wear Hijab. Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, and Islam all talk about Hijab. So how can we go against the beliefs of billions of people around the world, going against the desires of billions just to serve the vested interests and illogical justifications of a few politicians are absolutely rubbish, senseless and ridicules.

The U.S. has recently poured criticism on France and Belgium regarding the ban on face covering or veil. According to United States report this ban will further deteriorate problems between Muslims and the non-Muslims. The U.S. report signified that they must allow freedom of religion across the globe. Believers of all religious backgrounds must be allowed to live according to their principles and teachings.

As a part of the well known Islamophobia that is witnessed in many countries around the world and not excluding the western and many European countries; this Islamophobia, which results in a series of discrimination scenes and actions against Muslims all around the world, is now pushing a country like France which is known as one of the top anti-Hijab country towards being an anti-fasting country.

The French government launched air strikes yesterday to help the Mali government push back the militants who were capturing strong grounds. The strike was successful in driving the terrorists out of the strategic town of Konna, 600 km from the capital Bamako. The recent advances of the terrorists to the capital had raised alarms in the European Leaders as the militant group was linked with Al-Qaeda and if Mali falls in their hands, it can serve as another safe haven for the terrorist organization. The British Broadcasting Corporation ''BBC'' received many complaints against it because of displaying a series that makes fun of a Pakistani Muslim family and among those complaints was a complaint about criticizing the Muslim community in Britain. ''Agence France Presse'' news agency said that the series "Citizen Khan" shows a Muslim family from a Pakistani origin in the context of comedy, created and directed by a Pakistani origin British Muslim called "Adil Ray" and who also performs the role of the father of the Muslim family in the series. ''Citizen Khan'' series which consists of seven episodes of the family consisting of a Muslim father, a Muslim mother, two Muslim daughters and a son, of a funny Pakistani origin, raised around two hundred complaints from different Muslim families. According to the Guardian British news, Viewers complained that the show was offensive and there have been comparisons with the controversial 1970s comedy Mind Your Language.

Syrian people are struggling hard to raise their voice and get the freedom from the President Bashar al- Assad. The international community includes the UN, realize the sufferings of the Syrian people and try to resolve them. In the last month the China and Russia veto the resolution in the UN against the Syrian President. They stood in the way of effective international intervention in the Syrian conflict.
