Misconceptions about Islam - 0 views

  •
Islam is the largest growing religion in the world and the second largest religion, right after Christianity. The history of the religion is of hundreds of years and people from time to time entered and embraced Islam because of the attractiveness in the religion. Let's put some light on this sacred religion and discuss the misconceptions about it. People have their own way of thinking and have their own perceptions. The need of time it to bring a change and show people the true and actual side of Islam. This blog will move around the misconceptions about Islam and how we can snub them and how we can change the discernment of individuals against Islam. Every religion has good and bad people and we should always look towards good to spread happiness and to avoid conflict. Islam is a prominent and well spread religion worldwide and it contains people of all kind. There were several incidents after which people and especially people of the west started thinking that Muslims are terrorists, extremists and merciless people like the incident of 9/11. This perception is wrong and we should not blame all the Muslims for this bizarre incident done by some ruthless people. Jihad is another issue and people do have misconceptions about it as well. http://muslim-academy.com/misconceptions-about-islam/

People converting to Islam - 0 views

  •
Islam is a growing religion and it is a religion that has become quite popular after the attack on the Twin Towers. People were enraged by what happened on 9/11 and they wanted to know why some Muslims would do such a thing. This is when people started to take interest in Islam to learn what it was all about. There were many people that started off by learning about Jihad and understood that Jihad is not something horrible. People have just made this word horrible by depicting it in a negative sense. Individuals in the West went around saying the word "Jihad", but had no clue about what it actually meant. This is when many of them started their own study about Islam. They started reading books, the Qur'an, and so much more so that they could get a better understanding of Islam. One thing led to another and there were many people that wanted to continue with their study.

The Controversy of Hijab in France - 0 views

  •
The controversy of Hijab is the hottest topic in France nowadays. The controversy was also erupted some years back but died down soon. However, this time the government seems committed to impose ban on wearing Hijab for Muslim women especially in schools and offices. The government has also shown its concerns for wearing Veils in different public places for security concerns. The justification given by the French government in support of alleged ban is that it is against the secular values of France. To prove this justification the government also imposed ban on wearing crosses or skull caps for Christian and Jews. If we analyze the act of French government keeping ourselves neutral, it is fairly against the basic freedom rights of the people. Every person has a right to wear whatever he or she likes then how a government can dictate people what to wear and what to not. As far as the justification about secularism concerns, the aspect of basic rights of freedom is far superior to so called secular indications, if the people are not free to enjoy freedom then the secularism is of no use. Moreover, if we look at the scriptures of all the major religions we would reach to a conclusion that Hijab is not the identity of mere Muslim women but all the major religions direct women to wear Hijab. Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, and Islam all talk about Hijab. So how can we go against the beliefs of billions of people around the world, going against the desires of billions just to serve the vested interests and illogical justifications of a few politicians are absolutely rubbish, senseless and ridicules.

I have been a traveller for almost three ears now, and my favorite destination is the mountainous region of Lanao del Norte in Mindanao where natives are living mixed with Muslim races. One thing that fascinates me the most in those areas is not the beautiful views and good environments, in which anions are abundant and fresh mineral waters are everywhere, but the delicious dishes and delicacies of Muslim people. Yes! Muslims are good chefs with spicy twist in every recipe. So yummy! So, let's forget about the war and conflicts for a while and taste the common dishes of Muslims in Mindanao.

How Can Modern Islamic Women Integrate With Society - 0 views

  •
More so than ever before, the roles carried out by Islamic women in society are becoming more diverse and challenging. In the past, the way a Muslim woman dressed would be seen as a potential barrier to integration and to fully participating in society. As attitudes have modernised, so too have styles of dress that can be worn by women with multiple roles to carry out, from mother and wife to office worker and saleswoman. The great thing about the evolution of Islamic dress is that it continues to allow these women to be faithful to their religion while dressing in a modest, luxurious fashion that makes people of all backgrounds appreciate how stylish they look.

Husain and Hamza Abdullah made a trip to Mecca in 2012 because they felt that it was something that was very important. They told their coaches that they would no longer be able to play in that season. Husain was 27 years old and was a member of the Minnesota Vikings whereas Hamza was 29 years old and he was a member of the Arizona Cardinals. Tahir-ul-Qadri: Pakistan's Latest Political Player - 0 views

  •
Out of nowhere, Tahir-ul-Qadri appears to be Pakistan's latest political force-to-be-reckoned with. An Islamic scholar based in Canada, Qadri had made the decision to move out of Pakistan years ago. His sporadic return to Pakistan in December and his entry into local politics has left an-already confused political scenario in the country baffled. Rallying under the slogan "save the state, not your politics," Qadri has made a number of scathing remarks about the current government, demanding on several occasions that it resign immediately. He has threatened to engage in a long march until the government resigns and elections are held under an interim government consisting of honest people. Most would not have taken Qadri seriously so soon after hi

Muslim killing in Burma - 0 views

Muslims all around the world are considered as one nation according to Quran and Islam but unfortunately, today the scenario is totally different. Muslim nations instead of helping each others in crises prefer to live their own independent life. They are not concerned about the sorrows, grievances, tortures and crises being faced by Muslim countries.
