`Mammút is an Icelandic band and the featured artist of the week. While many listeners outside of Iceland may not understand a single lyric, make no mistake, they do speak the universal language of awesome rock music. They have a distinct Icelandic sound, but are similar to the Iceland band, The Sugarcubes and Bjork with an alternative rock kick.

Vogue In The Movement is a catchy Pop Indie Rock band from Bakersfield, Ca. They released their first EP in 2008 and they ve generated nearly 2 million hits in little over one year. Hailing from the very heart of hip-hop culture (ann arbor, Michigan) Tadd Mullinix aka Dabrye is back on the shelves at your local record store (if you are lucky enough to still have one) with his third full-length release Two/Three. The enigmatic and fractional title is the follow up to his 2001 debut One/Three and 2002 sophomore release Instrmntl. Mullinix, who is quite the busy beaver, also makes house, techno, and industrial music under other monikers. So it's not surprising that his brand of hip-hop is a little bit left of center. a Dabrye album is as likely to feature white noise, sawbuzz analog synths, and found sounds, as its title is to include numbers or consonants, it seems.

Each instrument comes with an impressive collection of loops, and you can build your song-adding instruments and loops-in (almost) any way you want, then save the results. JamStudio isn't for the professional musician by any means, but if you've ever wanted to toy around with music and loops without paying a dime, JamStudio is a good place to start.
