Here's what we believe happened: CBS requested user data from Last.fm, including user name and IP address. CBS wanted the data to comply with a RIAA request but told Last.fm the data was going to be used for "internal use only." It was only after the data was sent to CBS that Last.fm discovered the real reason for the request. Last.fm staffers were outraged, say our sources, but the data had already been sent to the RIAA.

Alpha web service Lib.rario.us is del.icio.us for your media collection.<br /> <br /> Bookmark, review, tag and share your books, music, DVD's and games with automatically-supplied cover images and links to Amazon. RSS feeds are available by user and media type, and it looks like an item discussion feature is in the works. Lib.rario.us is much prettier than del.icio.us, but my only wish for it and the rest of the tagging/Web 2.0 world? Drop the domains with w.ithdot.sinwe.ird places. At first it was cute, but now it's just maddening.

It also offers a music "locker" service that allows you to upload your music then listen to it from any computer with an Internet connection...but it only works with MP3 files, so you're out of luck if you've been using (for example) iTunes to rip your CD

Joel Simpson is this weeks spotlight not only for his ability to sing, but for his unique talent. He brings to music a combination of Folk, Rock, and Christian Rock into one without making the listener feel like he is preaching too heavily. `Mammút is an Icelandic band and the featured artist of the week. While many listeners outside of Iceland may not understand a single lyric, make no mistake, they do speak the universal language of awesome rock music. They have a distinct Icelandic sound, but are similar to the Iceland band, The Sugarcubes and Bjork with an alternative rock kick.

This weeks artist spotlight is an R&B artist from Spain. Her home is in Spain, but her love for music is in America. She grew up listening to 90s R&B and now, she is fufilling her dream by working with the legendary Record Producer, Frankie Biggz with her first American originated full length album, Metamorphsis.

Vogue In The Movement is a catchy Pop Indie Rock band from Bakersfield, CA. They released their first EP in 2008 and they ve generated nearly 2 million hits in little over one year. Their music may be a little trendy and commerical, but their fun. If you like Fall Out Boy or Green Day, you will dig VITM.
