The artist spotlight of the week goes to a talented duo called Narcolepts. Lead singer, Craig Lawrence and guitarist, Aaron Wilson collaborated to create Narcolepts early 2009. The artist spotlight this week is an Indie band from Louisville, KY. They are currently with label Doghouse records, and they are still fairly new in the music industry. I chose to preview Mansions, because they are an awesome band and deserves recognition.

Firstly, the use of the phrase "blissed-out" shouldn't simply be disallowed. Secondly, the term "soundscape" is a contrived, pseudo intellectual cop out for when writers don't have anything too valid to comment upon. And if you read anything from Pitchfork or the generally buoyant Brainwashed, you might run into those terms when exploring the new disc from Chicago's CAVE.

Jennings was chosen for the artist spotlight of the week for her beautiful voice and amazing musical talent. Jennings is a gifted signer, song writer, pianist, and one of the many hiden talents from the unsigned and independent industry that deserves to be in the mainstream spotlight.
