This is one of my first live renditions of Mahk Jchi by Pura Fe, member of ULALI, a Native American women's acappella group, whose sound encompasses an array of indigenous music including Southeast United States choral singing (pre-blues and gospel) and pre-Columbian music. +English Translation: Our hearts are full and our minds are good. Our ancestors come and give us strength. Stand tall, sing, dance and never forget who you are or where you come from. A hundred years have passed Yet I hear the distant beat of my father's drums.
