The number one comment math teachers hear from students is, "I'll never need this in real life!" And so, the aim of this project is for students to gain knowledge of how math is used in everyday life. This group was created as a space for students to share their research lists, consisting of 8-12 bookmarks. Each bookmark should contain a title, description, tags, highlights, and sticky notes with comments related to specific information on the website. Research lists should be posted on this group page by March 25th. Take this time to really look though each website. After your lists are complete, I will assign each student a partner. You and your partner must combine your resources and narrow down the information you wish to use. Use Diigo to easily send websites and information to your partner. For your research paper, choose 3-5 everyday activities and write about how they require math to function properly. Use information from the articles to back up your argument. Submit your final paper using MLA format! Good luck!
