"Sumeg is a faithful recreation of a traditional Yurok Indian village. It lies within the original tribal area and close to the present Yurok reservation on the Klamath River. It was built by members of the Yurok tribe and state park employees at Patricks Point State Park near Trinidad. Sumeg includes a dance circle, a sweat lodge, and two semi-underground redwood plank houses. It is used both for general public education, and traditional purposes exclusively for tribal members."
