A for profit company can\'t use material that is licensed under a non-commercial licence. The CC licences don\'t currently differentiate between educational and non-educational uses - so a commercial educational use is prohibited just the same as a commercial non-educational use. This may change in the future - CC has recently conducted a survey looking at the meaning of non-commercial which specifically includes questions about for-profit educational use. For the time being, only non-commercial uses are allowed. Though this isn\'t the end of the world Private RTO's can use material under any of the licences that don\'t include the Non Commercial term. The only creative commons licences that private RTO's can use material from are those with badges of Attribution, Attribution Share Alike, and Attribution No Derivatives. Have a look at the licenses resource below for the little logos to look out for.
