As some know I want to get into the health and wellness industry, so I researched the role of social media on fitness devices. I found a great article describing the impact, highlighting that they motivate people, it acts as a trigger for action, and the aspect of sharing information and tips can increase ability. As an avid fitness app user, I support these claims and recognize that it has personally motivated me when I see someone's post on Facebook that they just ran 5 miles to go get out there and go run myself, or when someone "Likes" my post that I ran 5 miles!
