  This is an article from last year, during the months of big crisis of the 3D technology implementation of a new platform that was supposed to integrate the best of Morgan Stanley technology with the best of Smith Barney technology. Unfortunately, this extremely expensive platform proved to cause a lot of pain for employees as well as clients. I am posting this as an addition to todays class discussion about "leading change". I also think it was relevant considering it was an implementation of new technology to a huge corporation. This issue perfectly illustrates that when the right trial and training of new technology is not done before "rolling it out" to the public it can hurt earnings and even worse the perception of the company to clients and the rest of the world.
