An immersive, extremely well-designed, easy to navigate, self-paced "investigation" of the events surrounding the Boston Massacre. Featuring primary source documents and information that makes students really think about the events that transpired. The rest is up to them! The images and eyewitness accounts are designed to explore what happened from multiple perspectives, challenging students to make up their own mind about what really happened. Do the images and personal accounts match up? Why or why not? Where are the biases? Playing as a "Special Agent," students are presented with information about the massacre, the trials that followed, and five images about the event. This activity is very text heavy, but it's also very easy to use. Students could work individually or in teams, then present their findings. Even if you are not studying US History, this interactive is useful for the analytical approach it brings to the subject. Check it out!

VCISE is a collection of interactive, online simulations designed to enhance traditional middle and high school science curricula by providing supplements to experimental laboratory or field work. The inquiry-based activities emphasize the scientific method. Students make observations, propose hypotheses, design experiments, collect and analyze data generated by the simulation, and synthesize and communicate results through an electronic notebook and an online report.

A QUEST is a journey in Google Earth that allows the user to explore while Questioning and Understanding Earth and Space science Themes.  Created by undergraduate students at Penn State Brandywine, Earth and Space QUESTs are designed for middle school students, high school students, and the general public.  Each QUEST provides scientifically accurate information presented in a geographic context to enhance several literacies.

This archive is designed as a resource for enriching your math courses and nurturing your interest and talent in mathematics! Each Math Fun Fact is a math puzzle or short article that contains a cool mathematics idea. You'll can learn about the mathematics of things like card shuffling to poker to computer vision to fractals to music, just to name a few. This makes great enrichment material for gifted math students or problem-solving groups.

Teachinghistory.org is designed to help K-12 history teachers access resources and materials to improve U.S. history education in the classroom. With funding from the U.S. Department of Education, the Center for History and New Media (CHNM) has created Teachinghistory.org with the goal of making history content, teaching strategies, resources, and research accessible.

Mission US is an interactive adventure game designed to improve the understanding of American history by students in grades 5 through 8. The first game in a planned series, Mission 1: "For Crown or Colony?" explores the reasons for Revolution through the eyes of both Loyalists and Patriots in 1770 Boston.  This website provides information and materials to support the use of Mission 1 in your classroom. The Historical Scene Investigation Project (HSI) was designed for social studies teachers who need a strong pedagogical mechanism for bringing primary sources into their classroom. With the advent and accessibility of the internet, many libraries, universities and government agencies are housing their historical documents online. Simultaneously, there has been a push in K-12 history education to give students experiences that more closely resemble the work of a real historian. The National Center for History in the Schools (NCHS) provides standards.

The Virtual Courseware Project produces interactive, online simulations for the life science laboratory or for earth science field studies. The activities are designed to enhance an existing curriculum and include online assessments. They can be used by students ranging from middle school, high school, or college classrooms.

TED is a small nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. Since then its scope has become ever broader.
