ASC offers both hardware- and software-based lab solutions. ReLANPro is the name of their software-based model. A recent press release says it is now Mac-compatible, but the tech specs page details: MAC lab * Boot Camp is required * Boot Camp requires a Mac with an Intel processor and Windows XP Service Pack 2. I have previous experience at two schools with ASC Direct, and we have not been impressed with their customer service.

Remote control software for both Windows and Mac OS. Might be good option to integrate with LangLab PASSPORT. Uses Skype API, allows voice intercom, text chat and messaging.

iTALC is a use- and powerful didactical tool for teachers. It lets you view and control other computers in your network in several ways. It supports Linux and Windows 2000/XP (Vista support will come) and it even can be used transparently in mixed environments! In contrast to widely used commercial equivalent software, iTALC is free! This means you do not have to pay for expensive licenses or things like that. Furthermore the source-code is freely available and you're free in changing the software to fit your needs as long as you respect the terms of iTALC's license (GPL). Freedom in two ways!

The teacher can communicate to students individually, or by group, and can monitor progress live.
