Website Name: Child and Family Webguide
    URL: www.cfw.tufts.edu
Website Overview: Child And Family WebGuide is a relatively new site in the it was created in April 2001. It was the creation of faculty from Eliot-Pearson Department of Child Development at Tufts University as well as librarians at Tisch Library also at Tufts University. The WebGuide is a website that provides links to approved websites and videos that would interest parents. It takes the guessing out of "wisdom" provided when parents do search for different topics such as development, health, education, psychology and parenting. It provides reliability to parents.
Intended Audience: The intended audience is parents and caregivers. No matter if parents are parents of grown children, teenagers, or newborns; parents who research online for information on how to handle an issue with their child or children, aren't always confident in the information they receive.
Relationship to work, family, community class: The site covers a large range of topics from divorce to co-sleeping to economy. It relates to this class by providing families with an easier way to find reliable information instead of spending time reading books or searching on the web and guessing the reliability of the source. It provides access to links that could help the relationship with a child thus providing a sense of balance.
Other comments: The WebGuide provides ratings on a scale of 5 as well as their own review. Everyone involved with this site has an education in Child Development. The organization of the site provides for easy navigation.
