    The article 'Strategies to Guide ELLs in Learning Math' provides suggestions on how to help assist English Language Learners how to learn mathematics based on the Common Core Standards. The article stresses the importance of incorporating graphic organizers, previewing and reviewing the text, have vocabulary words with illustrations, use various memory techniques, and partner talk.

    Teachers can use this article to create effectively create lesson plans for ELL students. The first strategy highlighted in the text is the use of graphic organizers. The text states, "Vocabulary building can be easily become part of a math lesson by incorporating graphic organizers," (Ortman, 2016). Students can use different organizers to sort and organize terms, provide examples of the term, and draw a picture to give them a visual to help them remember the definition.
