This journal discusses how students having a growth mindset will encourage students to do better and be better in math. It is believed that a students effort will increase if that student believes in their ability to learn. If students are encouraged to move forward, and their perception of learning is positive, that positive energy and mindset will be translated into the classroom.
Teachers can use this article to help encourage a growth mindset in their classroom. When students feel appreciated and given the tools and comfort to thrive they will become a student that is not afraid to make mistakes, work harder and will put their best effort forward! When students are provided with feedback, encouraged and lightly guided, teachers will create a classroom culture for their students and students will continue to grow mentally and physically in all subjects.
