"One of the last and liveliest sessions at TEPR+ last week was a presentation and Q&A with Don Witters from the FDA Center for Devices and Radiological Health. Witters repeated multiple times that he attended the show in order to begin a dialog with the mHealth industry to establish clear pathways and regulations that ensure wireless quality of service, coexistence with other medical systems, data integrity, security and electromagnetic compatibility. Witters said his goal was safe, secure and reliable deployments of wireless technology in healthcare."

The Biomedical Signal Analysis Group was established in August 1998 at the Department of Physics, University of Kuopio, Finland. The head of the group is professor Pasi A. Karjalainen, Ph.D. The main research topics of the group are event-related biosignal analysis methods and their applications. Other topics are e.g. mathematical aspects of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), dynamic inverse problems, and human motion analysis.

This is a case where cancer tissue has been spotted by its reflection caused by a camera's flash. The peculiar thing is that not a trained doctor saw the symptom but somebody who had no medical training whatsoever advised the mother of the child to go see a doctor.
