Google, A leading search engine that we use every day to search content on internet. There is no doubt that this is a damn powerful search engine but Google.com is not only for searching the stuffs. In addition to providing easy access to billions of web pages, Google.com has many amazing features to help you to find exactly what you're looking for.
This site has a lot of Related Articles & Videos that could be helpful to new users. Also, I like the range of "how to" topics on this web site (totally unrelated to Google Apps or anything with this course).
Zoe Ross recently became the first, and until a short time ago the only, Google Apps for Education Certified Trainer in the UK. In this post she explains why, and what that means to her. My enthusiasm for Google Apps, Google's online suite of collaborative tools, began last January when I began using Google Docs with my GCSE class, simply my own gmail account.
Lynda.com offers some free training. However, for more in-depth training, Lynda.com is a service you pay for. Excellent tutorials that cover beginner level to advanced.

Building a 21st Century School with Google Apps
Presented by Dana Nguyen
The next generation of students brings a different set of expectations and technical experiences to school. Meeting the changing learning habits of these students and providing the tools necessary to enable 21st century teaching and learning are difficult challenges many schools and districts face today. Learn how Google Apps Education Edition can provide advanced communication and collaboration tools for schools-at zero cost
If you don't have mail turned on for your school Google Apps accounts, you can still save and manage contact information using the 'standalone' Contact Manager. 'Standalone' simply means that you do not need to use Apps mail or any other product to get to your contacts - they can now be accessed directly.
This might be a handy way to save old contacts instead of importing all. As the WCSU team transitions form one email address to another....this may be a good solution to keeping old and at the same time starting fresh with new ones to the district.
Anyone have experience using this feature?
