Hey non binary baby's! I have a Halloween question. So me and my partner who don't self identify as non binary, want to dress up as 1950s house wife and husband stereotypes but with the roles reversed, so i - a cisgender female would be in a suit, and he - a cisgender male would be in a dress and apron. I didn't think much of it but today he mentioned that it may come off as insensitive to non binary and queer folk. I hadn't even thought of that as being something that could be offensive as i correlated it to poking fun and making light of the strict gender norms of that time l, but I could also be wrong in my thought process about how the outward appearance would come off. grinch costume My question is, if you were to come into contact with us, would you be offended, laugh or not care? Are we looking too deeply into it or is it subjective to the person? We want to be sensitive to everyone and not make anyone uncomfortable, let us know :)
