The MGMT 404 WEEK 5 iLab mainly covers the topic resource workloads. All the experiments are covered under "Project Monitoring and Managing Project Teams". This lab contains 7 assignments. Under the MGMT 404 WEEK 5 iLab assignment resource workload related topic is required to be completed. This project schedule cannot be approved or confirmed until and unless all the over allocations and resource variations are managed correctly. By using resource workloads one can easily locate the resource conflict from the entered data and it also be used for levelling for resolving resource over allocation. For completing this lab work one has also to resolve resource over allocations manually.Image

The guidelines which are provided for this lab assignment is that the data should be printed out in the Gantt chart view. The project summary report and the task usage report should also be printed along with the Gantt chart.

A Gantt chart can be described as a type of the bar chart which generally illustrates the project schedule. Normally a Gantt chart shows the starting and finishing dates of terminal elements and also about the summary elements of the project. Summary elements and terminal elements generally comprise work breakdown structure of a project. Nowadays the modern charts also illustrate the precedence network relationships between the activities. These charts are generally used in the field of information technology mainly for the purpose of representing the collected data.

Resource workloads can be used for monitoring the tasks of different resources so that one can easily and without facing any difficulty effectively balance the workloads of the resources for getting better results. In this case one might see that some of the resources can be under located and some of them might be under located. By viewing this one can easily make out how he or she can easily manage the resources efficiently and also about the status of the project. In most of the resource views the over allocated resources are marked as red. Generally an over allocation is found out then only when the resources maximum units gets exceeded for the given or fixed period of time.

If in any case while submitting the given required printouts one forgets to bring them to the respective classroom then one can also take the screenshot of the report and then can easily paste this screenshot on the MS word document.
