The database design is mainly based on the business rules which focus on normalizing data to the third normal form. For this assignment the situation contains business rules, entities and data requirements the students are required to create a conceptual model of the database using the database modelling tool. Visio can be utilised for a number of complex tasks also. Visio is mainly used for data modelling and reverse engineering. Data modelling is basically is the process of database design which mainly aims to organize and identify the required data physically and logically. How the items of the database will be related to one another, how to use the given information in the database and what type of information should be contained in the database all these things are conveyed by the data model itself. Visio allows a person to draw the database diagram by using its drawing tools. Reversing engine is the process of analysing the existing system so that its components can be identified and also to identify the interrelationships between them to create the representation of the system in different form or higher form.
