Trading Cards on the App Store on iTunes - 0 views

  •
Through one of Tony Vincent's Tweets I learned about a wonderful free iPad app from Read Write Think. Read Write Think Trading Cards allows students to create trading cards about people, places, and events both real and fictional. I used the app to create a trading card about Winston Churchill. To create my Winston Churchill trading card I simply selected "real person" from the list of trading card options, uploaded a picture of Winston Churchill that I found on the web, and then filled in the details that the trading card template asked for. My completed trading card can be shared via email, printed, or saved to my iPad's camera roll

As a teacher you create an account which includes a unique class code. Next, you will begin by adding students to your network. Your students will log in using the class code you created and their password (which you can view and change). Sharing Any sketch created using sketchlot can be shared with any member of your class, using the share feature. Teachers can create math questions, science diagrams or even text for students to view and reply. Students can create their own sketches and share them back with you. You can also embed sketches to your class website, pin them to pinterest or tweet them to twitter!

Hangout Quest - A Google+ Game - 0 views

  •
Hangout Quest is a Google+ game that allows participants to go on a virtual scavenger hunt inside the Palace of Versailles. The object of the scavenger hunt is to find artwork and other objects in the palace. If players invite others to their Hangout, they can compete in a race to find the objects. Hangout Quest uses the Street View imagery of Google Maps to bring players inside the Palace of Versailles. Hangout Quest also includes Google's facial tracking technology, which allows players to move around in the Palace of Versailles by moving their head instead of clicking around with their mouse.
